Tigers stars kick off Christmas for sick kids

Youngsters in Leicester Royal Infirmary's Children's Hospital will think Christmas has come early when the Leicester Tigers stars visit them on the wards this week.

The Tigers have launched their Christmas Toy Appeal again this year and will be handing out presents which have kindly been donated by Tigers supporters to kids in the Children's Hospital on Friday at 2pm.

The full squad will be coming to the Royal to meet the children, including England Captain Martin Corry, and England players Lewis Moody, Andy Goode and Ben Kay.

Tina Clegg, service manager at the Children's Hospital, says: "The children are really looking forward to meeting the players - the players always lift the spirits of the children and put a smile on their face.

"We really appreciate all of the support from the Tigers and thank the supporters for their generosity - I'm sure the children will thoroughly enjoy the toys and gifts they receive now and on Christmas Day."
